Instructor

Kevin Kinser, EdD serves as Professor of Education Policy Studies and Senior Scientist in the Center for the Study of Higher Education at Penn State University. He received his EdD from Columbia University, where his dissertation research focused on leadership best practices and organizational structures of institutions of higher education. Dr. Kinser is the co-founder of the Cross-Border Education Research Team (C-BERT), which investigates the scope and impact of international branch campuses of universities worldwide. His scholarly work includes authoring five books and publishing over 70 peer-reviewed journal articles and edited book chapters. His most recent book, Accreditation on the Edge: Challenging Quality Assurance in Higher Education, was published in 2018 by Johns Hopkins Press. As a recognized expert on domestic and international higher education trends, Dr. Kinser is frequently invited to present his research at conferences as well as via popular media outlets.
